Upper Deck Baseball Academy’s College Recruiting Services includes a very dynamic package with the flexibility to select all or just one of our services.

First, we have a “special” relationship with a college and career consultant, who will assist High School sophomores and juniors to take the necessary steps in evaluating possible careers and the proper college and curriculum needed to achieve their career objectives. Add to the formula the issue of playing college baseball and one can see how the process gets typically complicated. We offer this service to ease and streamline the whole college evaluation process.

Secondly, we offer the hosting of players videos, whether we provide professional filming and editing
or you provide the video. This service is very valuable because typically, video files are so large, emailing multiple videos becomes complex. College coaches typically do not accept tapes or DVD’s from players because there are so many received and keeping things clear and organized is difficult.

This method of hosting the video on our secure website, makes the evaluation process for the college coach much more convenient. An email from player to coach will have a link to Upper Deck Baseball Academy’s website, the coach simply clicks on the link, keys a password and presto he’s reviewing your video!

Third, Upper Deck Baseball Academy will be hosting a college select team in 2010.
This team will play in various tournaments geared toward exposing the players to college coaches. This team will also play various college and junior college teams. This will be a competitive team, so being on this team is not a given. Players from the graduating classes of 2011 and 2012 are eligible to tryout.
Manager Clay Field will be overseeing this highly competitive program. Below you will see some of Clay's relavant experience:
- Head Baseball Coach - Attleboro High School (Varsity) from 3/2009 to 10/2009.
- Head Baseball Coach - South Attleboro American Legion Baseball (Post 312) from 9/2008 to present.
- Assistant Baseball Coach - Rollins College from 5/2006 to 5/2008.
- Assistant Baseball Coach - Bryant University from 5/2003 to 5/2006.
- Head Baseball Coach - South Kingstown American Legion Baseball (Post 39) from 1/2003 to 9/2008.
- Assistant Baseball Coach - South Kingstown American Legion Baseball (Post 39) from 6/2002 to 1/2003.
Included in the UD College Select Program will be all insurances required, a minimum of 27 games, player's uniforms, College Select Tournament entry fee, 15+ hours of indoor workouts covering instructional hitting, defense, catching and pitching workouts. Games will include Junior College teams and other College Preporatory Teams.
UD College Select Program will work in conjunctions with the players' High School and Legion Baseball committments. The majority of the Select Teams season is after Legion Baseball is complete. We will however meet/practice during both the High School and Legion seasons.
